ROCK AND ROLL / DOUBLE TROUBLE AT THE HOTEL First came SLUGS (sex), then CONTACT HIGH (drugs), and now it’s time for ROCK AND ROLL. But if trouble comes in twos, bad luck comes in threes. And in this sequel not only do the protagonists have to cope with each other but also with look-alikes, alter egos, and themselves during rehearsals with the band and a bank robbery on the executive floor of a hotel. A surefire recipe for double trouble in a film where everyone has the same goal: success and double of it. |

POODLE COLADA Whether as Dracula, talk-show host, or Hamburg celebrity, most people know something about Christoph Grissemann, Dirk Stermann, and Heinz Strunk, but what nobody knows is that they all own standard poodles. Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? No, not Stermann, Grissemann, or Strunk - we mean the dogs: Van Helsing, Karajan, and Suzanne von Borsody. And which one will win the National Poodle Open? For the answers to these questions and many more (like "Did Pepsi Vanilla give king König a blow job?" "Are Afghans terrorists?" "Who nailed the turtles to the wall?" and "Why do X-rated chimney sweeps need Xtra flexible rods?") don't miss the film that tells it all: POODLE COLADA |

UNTITLED For every artist the greatest challenge is overcoming emptiness - with lines, colors, sounds, or words. This film will give a view of the world that can only emerge by not pursuing any particular theme, by refraining from passing judgment, proceeding without aim. Drifting with no direction whatsoever except one's own curiosity and intuition. |

FOR GODS ONLY An actor stands on a simple wooden stage looking out at rows and rows of empty red chairs. Proudly, he proclaims: “The art of the opera is passed down from one generation to the next and will never be lost.” The actor is over ninety years old – actually, he is not sure how old he really is nor how many years he has spent on this handcrafted wooden stage. This stage has been his whole life, a life devoted to the arts. But not just. Together with the other members of his theater troupe, he has practically always played for the Gods, before temples and empty rows of seats – but always before the great celestial stage and the vast skies up to which the smoke, prayers, words, sounds, songs, and soul of the opera drifted – in tranquil and endless devotion to the Gods who dwell there. Today, this art form is in danger of becoming extinct. It is only rarely that the Kim Eng Teochew Opera sets up its stage amidst the housing developments or skyscrapers, in the streets or parks, in front of the last temples of one of the world’s most modern and efficiently organized metropolises, Singapore. Like a fleeting shadow, the opera materializes for a few hours or days, only to vanish again. And afterwards, though one was witness to the spectacle, one is no longer certain if it was real. And this is the way it should be because this opera is performed for the Gods, not for mortals. And yet it is understandable that we want to preserve the last moments of this art before it rises like smoke to the heavens and vanishes forever. Now the time is right, for is it not true that the sun is most beautiful as it sets? for gods only.pdf |

SLUGS: THE HARD-CORE VERSION Slugs doesn't just go porn, it goes Pornero! Unlike in the PG feature film, our heroes Mao, Max, Johann, Mara, and Martha no longer have any hang-ups about sex. This time at Mao's parents' house they get right down to business, and a mysterious leopard keeps them performing at the peak of their sexual prowess. But in spite of it all, this version is also a moving film about the great themes of life: sex, love, parents, cars, and wild animals. www.sixinchsnails.com |
